2026-04-15 | Neo Matloga: in De Grote Kunstshow
Our fellow Neo Matloga is participating in De Grote Kunstshow at Theater Bellevue.
On Saturday, April 18, and Sunday, April 19, De Grote Kunstshow takes over Theater Bellevue. Do not expect a standard exhibition, but a theatrical visual show in which visual art bursts from the stage. In an hour and a half, you will dive into the minds of young artists attempting to tame today's capricious world with masks, ceramics, role-playing, and cut-out collages.
From the intriguing masks of Carmen Schabracq to the absurdist ceramics of Koos Busters and the powerful cut-out collages of Neo Matloga, this edition demonstrates how art offers new ways of seeing to confront the grim world of today.
With actors, music, and interviews, the artworks are not only displayed but theatrically brought to life and dissected for their meaning. Presenter Milou Adjanga guides the audience through the show—sharp, engaged, and with thought-provoking questions that make the art resonate just that little bit better.
About De Grote Kunstshow
What once began as a one-off experiment has grown into a beloved event that brings art to the stage in a unique way. 'Fresh, attractive, and innovative,' de Volkskrant called it — and that is exactly what De Grote Kunstshow still stands for. After previous shows featuring well-known artists such as Bas Kosters and Erwin Olaf, this edition focuses on new generations of artists who dissect the zeitgeist with boldness, humor, and a healthy dose of imagination.
